Cancer outcomes

Hey folks,

We've just been informed that our beloved Berner likely has cancer in his spleen. We haven't been given any options yet and they want to confirm with some imaging but the writing appears to be on the wall.

He's 7 and otherwise super happy and energetic. The vet is telling us that taking corrective measures will give him more time but pragmatically just months rather than years.

Has anyone else pursued treatment? If so, do you support it or would it be better to not have him go through the surgery and recovery and just spoil him rotten for as long as he's not suffering?
