Dogs on benzos?

My dog is TERRIFIED of new year's eve. It's really terrible and also ruins my new year's eve because it's just sad to see how much she's suffering.

I've heard about dogs being prescribed 0.25mg of xanax, I have 5mg valium's and I'm thinking if it's okay to give her like 2.5mg. There's a lot of different info about benzo dosages for dogs on the internet and ofc every site says that you shouldn't give human meds to dogs, but I wonder if it's really that big of a deal.
