How do I save this??

I posted about this begonia before. It kept getting brown stems that would end up dying. This is the last stem left. I pulled the soil out of the pot and pulled this stem out. Most of its roots broke off when I was pulling apart the roots that were left of the other stems that had died. Do I put this in water so I can grow new roots??
