What are the best kinds of supplements to take when going to the gym?

I know that it’s not a necessity to be taking any, but I just started incorporating protein powder into my diet instead of say snacking on chips because it fills you more. I’ve also been taking creatine supplements just to help with brain health as well as muscle mass, and yes I know I won’t be able to notice a difference 2-4 weeks after taking the creatine. But I’m also curious if I should be taking any other that helps?
