Skip startup scanning

Is there a way to either skip the startup collection scan, or limit what gets scanned. I’m using a very large external HDD which of course is pretty slow, so it hangs pretty hard near the end of the scan. I saw someone mention that you could set “parse gamelists only” in one of the configs and that would at least shorten it, but I don’t know where that config is.

I know it’s a creature comfort…
