I understand everything else but why should secularism be removed?!?!

So apparently secularism will be removed in the next constitution and replaced with pluralism?!?! (Which btw isn't even a bad thing but still) I know secularism has been somewhat ineffective nowadays (Islam is still the state religion) but why remove it altogether?! Awami League really has destroyed the reputation of secularism in Bangladesh at this point.
