How are you supposed to commute?

Got a job in a tech company in kadubeesanahalli. While driving there for the interview, from jp nagar side, took me about fifteen minutes to reach silk board via the new flyover. The next 4km to the office took me one whole hour. This is mindnumbing torture. How do people do it everyday? Are there any shortcut routes?

Edit: to everyone saying take two wheeler, I took a two wheeler.
