White lies we tell
I use disposable gloves for a lot of work-related tasks that don't usually require gloves. I have touch sensitivity that is bad enough to make certain tasks impossible, but I can do them with ease wearing gloves. I've been given weird looks and been directly questioned for wearing gloves in many jobs. Why do you need gloves to dispose of cardboard? Or mix paint (This one should be obvious...), or deploy/replace computers/peripherals?
I just find it easier to give a convenient excuse. Lately I've been saying it helps with my dust allergy when I'm replacing old, neglected PC hardware. This isn't a total lie because I have a pretty bad dust allergy.
I imagine others here might do the same. Can anyone relate?
