Car outside my house narrowly avoided becoming crushed by this gum tree dropping a branch
As above. Huge branch fell just outside our house not long after we had dinner and we thought it crush poor old mates car but luckily he narrowly avoided an insurance claim. The thing weighs a tonne and must have been 25-30 cm width and like 6-8 metres long.
Pic quality is poor because I was dodging cars to get it.
This is the fourth branch this tree has dropped in 2 weeks and I’m concerned that the tree is dying or something. There was this white substance in the break that you can see in the third picture. Looks like a fungus or something potentially killing the tree and causing it to drop limbs. If anyone has any knowledge about this sort of thing, I’d love some advice.
