Review: CLC Saturday market
I recently attended the first 2025 Asian Market organized by the CLC team in Auckland and had a fantastic experience. The market operates from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring a diverse range of cuisine, including my favorite stalls: Treasure Kitchen, Pang and Lee Catering (formerly Singapore Takeaway in Papakura), and Ailimtek - all Malaysian/Singaporean cuisine.
Arriving at 9:47 a.m., I found ample free parking. The stalls were well-spaced, creating a pleasant open-air environment, unlike the crowded underground night markets. There were also tables and chairs available, though limited.
By 10:44 a.m., the market was bustling, yet parking remained available. I spent nearly $100 on takeaway food, enjoying the wide variety of offerings.
Overall, the market's organization, variety of food options, and atmosphere make it a must-visit for enthusiasts of Southeast Asian cuisine and culture.
Disclaimer: This is not a paid review. I am not associated with CLC at all, other than I am on their Facebook group. I don't know anyone from CLC or know anyone who knows them. Neither do I know any of the stall holders. This is my opinion only.
