(Videogames) Do you prefer to play as a transgender character, or a character that is the gender you feel?

Sorry if I do any sort of wrong wording or anything seems offensive. I would also like to state I have absolutely no issues with transgender/non-binary options in videogames.

I am curious about this because of the recent Dragon Age: Veilguard controversy and recent controversy about not being able to make very sexy females in some games.

I have noticed in games with a CC, cis males tend to prefer to make a character that looks like themselves, or total abominations if possible (Soulsborne, Oblivion). Cis women (like me) like to make female characters that are their ideal appearance. Often very sexy/pretty, ideal hair color, eye color, etc. I always like to make my characters with very long white hair, and purple eyes. Elven if possible.

In games that allow you to have a trans character such as DA:V, what do you prefer? Playing as a trans character? Or playing a character that matches the gender you transitioned/are transitioning to? Additionally, do you prefer to make a character that looks similar to yourself? Or your ideal appearance?
