Moving to a lower taxed Gemeinde

We’re currently looking into moving to lower taxed Gemeinde in the same canton. The contract is drafted for the first of January 2024 however the land lords allows us to move in a bit earlier (probably mid of December) Can we already register ourselves in the new Gemeinde when we move in and benefit from living in the Lower Taxed Gemeinde? We would save quite a lot of Gemeindesteuer which would pay for the move.
