Gum irritation/recession

My gums are inflamed and bleeding. I was told I had gingivitis about three years ago, I’ve been to the dentist since and they never said anything about it again so I assumed it was resolved. My oral hygiene is very good I brush, floss, and use mouth wash! I feel like they are receding am I over reacting or should I go see a dentist ?
