changing cartridges was easy on youtube

what I had what I wound up with

I have 12" x 18" opening on the other side of the wall with turn off valves

took a long time to get the sleeve off

then like 6 hrs for the clip (clip hole in photo is after the hrs)

got the moen cartridge puller this is what I got

how screwed am I and what's a ballpark cost for fixing it

it sort of works after "putting the old one back in" (I can get wet though water heater went the next week)

is it not moen thought 1225 I thought I did my best research (or not) it's push pull right & left
