I've been cussing since I uncoverd this.
That is the toilet bend in my house. The vent comes out the back at 1 1/2" and then gets adapted to the 3 inch vent pipe on the left. As you can imagine...it doesn't work very well.
So, what are the options to fix it? I'm thinking about capping off that vent hole in the closet end (maybe with a clean out option) and cutting the drain pipe further down to add a vent there instead. I don't think there is enough pitch to connect back to the original vent pipe.
Are there other options that an actual plumber would consider?
Yes, I am also aware of how much wood was removed from my floor joist. I'll try to remedy that later.
