how to give blankets out to the homeless without endangering myself as a woman?

so, i come from a very sheltered background from another country, and so i haven’t really seen much homeless in my country.

i just wanna ask whether its a good idea to just walk down some streets w more homeless people and give out blankets (if i manage to rally a few other people to do it w me)

and are there any precautions i should take ( eg any vaccinations i should get ) - SORRY IF THIS SOUNDS SNOBBY i literally do not know what precautions to take 😭😭😭

ik i could volunteer w soup kitchens or other established organisations but i feel i want to make a bigger impact without endangering myself. TY!
