Bought an RMR off GAFS… between the shitty Triji hardware and the gallon of loctite this guy used… my simple battery change turned into quite the adventure.

Stripped out both T15 screws in my initial attempt to change batteries… managed to heat up the optic and pound a T20 into one and get it to break free… the second one wanted to be a bitch. Tried to JB Weld an Allen Wrench to it, that ended comically… Ended up drilling it out and finally being able to get an extractor into it to break the head off, then used some Knipex Twin Grips to get the post out… minimal damage to the RMR, but holy shit. Reinstalled with proper torque and a whole hell of a lot less Loctite and all is well. Happy Saturday.
