CA compliant reversall

Bought a CA compliant Daniel Defense DDM4v7 at auction on a steal. Did NOT know CA compliant was anything more that a limited 10 rd mag. How do I remove this to release the mag? This hook prevents the mag release from being actuated and i have to remove the rear detent pin, move the upper out of the way in order to press the mag release.
