what is it about huns and tax write offs?
why do so many huns mention that their business purchases qualify as tax write offs? that's just a normal part of being a 1099 employee, not a perk exclusive to MLMs.
what I find even stranger though, is how often these tax write offs are portrayed as "free money." That such a dangerous claim to make imo. like no, your trip to punta cana was not 'free.' you paid out of pocket to go there, and now you owe the government slightly less money because of it.
this just seems like it's taking advantage of people's ignorance, especially if they've never filed as an independent contractor before. I think someone who's used to being a W2 employee could easily be fooled into thinking that they'll receive a larger tax return if they join an MLM and write off all the associated business expenses. And it's not like any of these MLM huns ever mention that they pay in each year during tax season. I know being dishonest is kind of the nature of the beast here, but being purposefully misleading when it comes to filing taxes feels especially egregious to me.
