Is there another way to get this/do I need it?

I played through the game a few months and just came back to it and started a new save file. I beat the game a lot faster since I already knew a lot of it, but when I reached the skull room there weren’t enough skulls there to get to the chest. Do I just have to die loads to get it or is there another way? I also found out you can get infinite height with the regular bubble wand, so I’m wondering if I even need to get it
