Late period, negative test, pregnancy symptoms

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice while I wait for my appointment with the GP which has to after 7 days of being late. Just to clarify, me and my partner have been trying for 8 months now.

Ive done a test this morning, it came up negative. For the past 7 or 8 days I've had really sore and swollen breasts (which I've never had with PMS before), bloating, peeing a lot, super tired, dizzy and very light spotting (only when I wipe, sorry for tmi). My period was due 3 days ago and I know it's not that late but I'm very rarely late (it's only happened a handful of times since I started having periods). I also get cramps before I'm due, which hasn't happened yet, and my mood normally drops, which also hasn't happened.

I have naturally low hcg levels that show up faintly on ovulation tests but apparently I'm still ovulating normally according to my GP. I had my usual hcg peak this month, we had sex a couple of times during my fertile period as we have been doing since the beginning of the year. But this months period is different, and I have different symptoms that usual etc.

Could I be pregnant? Or am I just hoping that I am?

(I've already looked at other possibilities for delayed periods: PCOS - never had a diagnosis of this but not many matching symptoms, stress - not experiencing any more stress that usual, I'm a little overweight but have been the same weight for a few years and I still get plenty of exercise and I eat healthy and I don't drink often or smoke)
