Restrictions on carrying an air rifle in public under 18 in the UK

Hi everyone, i’m currently 17 years old and was thinking of picking up air rifles as a hobby and was wondering what the restrictions are on me taking an air rifle to and from a shooting range alone. I know it’s illegal for me to purchase/own one but am I allowed to carry one around? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: also if anybody has any good recommendations for a first air rifle under £150, this would also be greatly appreciated. Currently looking into possibly a Remington.
