Low Rank as High Appointment

Has anyone seen a low rank hold a Flt Sgt Tier or Warrant Tier appointment?

There is a Corporal at my squadron as a 2IC Senior Section Commander, so I'm thinking of applying to my squadron's second wave of appointment applications from age-outs. I am a late joiner so right now I am in PL4.
