What I imagined Prythian Male Fashion looks like (by Request)

A few of you asked for a post about male’s fashion after my last one, so here’s my attempt! I’ll admit, I’m not the best at finding references for male looks, and the material can be a bit more limited in some cases. So instead of separating casual and formal styles, I’m keeping it straightforward. Here’s my contribution:

✨ Night Court: Think Arabian-inspired, leaning towards Desi aesthetics—embroidery-rich suits similar to Rhysand’s descriptions in ACOTAR. Luxurious, intricate, and powerful.

🌞 Day Court: Taking cues from the women’s fashion, I’d say Greek and Egyptian influences. (Do they mention Helion wearing a toga at some point, or did I dream that?) Flowing, sun-drenched elegance.

🌸 Spring Court: Fairy tale vibes all the way. Romantic, ethereal, and a touch magical—soft tones and nature-inspired details.

🍂 Autumn Court: Picture Tudor-inspired fashion: luxury and austerity. Rich fabrics, structured cuts, and an air of restrained opulence.

🌊 Summer Court: Lightweight fabrics to combat the heat. Imagine the style of an African prince—breathable, regal, and effortlessly cool.

❄️ Winter Court: Russian and Scandinavian influences dominate here. Think layers, fur trims, and heavy materials to ward off the bitter cold, while still looking elegant.

🌅 Dawn Court: Once again, traditional Chinese styles seem to fit here. I’m torn between sticking with softer, casual tones (light pinks, yellows, and browns) or going for the more formal red shades often seen in their culture.

🌌 Bonus: Dusk Court (My Take!)

Since Dusk Court is still a big mystery and hasn’t been described yet, here’s my personal take: I think it would be amazing if their fashion leaned toward modern simplicity—minimal frills, clean fabrics without prints, embroidery, or excessive details. Modest but sophisticated, think something along the lines of Princess Kate’s ballgown style—elegant and understated.

This would tie so beautifully into the theory that, because they’ve spent millennia in slumber, they wouldn’t have the fairy tale or fantastical aura that I visualize for the rest of Prythian. Their simplicity could reflect their otherworldly timelessness, untouched by the whimsy of the courts that stayed awake.

And wouldn’t it be magical if Nesta lived somewhere with simple, modest clothing that had a regal air, just like the kind of style she gravitates toward? I also think this fashion would feel slightly more similar to the Human Lands’ aesthetic compared to the extravagant, fantasy-like fashion of the Night Court. It’s a subtle nod to her roots while still embracing her commanding presence.
