ER Eptopic Pregnancy Scare bill

I had a MA in October and after my checkup planned parenthood called me the next day saying I have to go to the ER ASAP because my HCG levels were weird and they thought I was having an eptopic pregnancy. I ended up not having that.

My ex boyfriend was with me the entire time at the ER but we recently broke up. Today I got a bill from the ER for $4k due to my visit. Do you think it is fair that I reach out to him and let him know about this — we had a copay at the hospital and it was $150.

I am not financially stable enough to pay for this right now. Do you think it’s wrong for me to reach out and let him know about this and that I am going to dispute it but thought I would just let him know? Please I need some advice :(
