Jaime isn’t the villain, hear me out. His whole life has been groomed to do what’s best for the ranch, which includes “honor” “integrity”. We know what John did to Kayce. Is it too wild to think that John wouldn’t have had Beth have an abortion when he found out the dad was the wild-eyed, murdering, nobody (as in he doesn’t “exist”)? That Jaime killed a reporter for the ranch which isn’t anything new since the train station is a dumping ground and rip has killed more people than jaime. If anything jaime is like a beat dog and I’d argue that Beth, despite what jaime did, is the real a-hole. The whole family is made up of killers and liars and honestly I don’t know who I’d root for in the show. Maybe rainwater? All I’m saying is every move or suggestion jaime has done or asked about was in some way to gain favor with his father. The same as Beth.
