PSA: The "Post-release Balance Changes/Nerfs" post yesterday is likely misinformation

If you didn't see the (now removed) "Post release balance changes" post, you're good, no worries, feel free to skip this and check out another post.

If you did, this is a PSA.

Tl;dr: The supposed patch 1.0.11 nerfs were in the preload (so it was NOT post-release changes), Mortefi's ult cooldown "buff" was a text change, and Calcharo's potential nerf is likely also a text change, although we can't verify that atm.

95% of those so-called "patch 1.0.11 nerfs" were in game on release, and you can see that in from the 1.0 preload datamine. This means that no, your favorites like Encore and Taoqi did NOT get nerfed again post release.

The only updates post release were Mortefi's (ult cooldown went from 24 seconds to 20 seconds) and Calcharo's (Forte Circuit, Death Messenger Con. Energy Regen going from 12.5 to 5). Don't freak out over Calcharo's yet, we have no confirmation that any of this was backend, and it's likely that was also a text change.

Mortefi's is a text change, and you can see that by finding any video that showcased his ult in the last few days (and I already found a video, so you just have to look in the lower right corner).

His ult cooldown starts at 19.3 seconds, instead of 23.3 seconds, so it's been this way since presumably launch.

Look at the lower right corner, time starts going down from 19, not 23

(This is from Rexlent's character guide video at 18:30, posted 4 days ago, slowed to 0.25x speed.)

Given that information (and the fact that Kuro doesn't have a track record of nerfing post-release), it's highly likely that Calcharo's was also a text change, although this is a lot harder to verify as we can't just refer to a gameplay video for this.

You might be thinking "But last time I used him, Calcharo's ult increased slower!"

That could be due to a variety of factors: The placebo effect after hearing about the change, how full your ult gauge was when you swapped in, slight changes in build you forgot about, etc.

So don't freak out yet, chances are nothing changed backend between this patch and last patch.

(If you're a dataminer reading this, and you have Calcharo's backend data before this patch, we'd be grateful if you could check that data and let us know)
