French F-8E vs all aspect missiles, how is this even fair?

So I recently got the french F-8, and with the Crusader being one of my favorite irl aircraft, I decided to play it and my god is it shit. Most common enemies are either A-10s/Su-25Ks/A-6s, that eventhough they are not so fast, once they fire their missiles you`re pretty much done for, or F-5Cs, that just come in flocks and outturn you pretty easily, and with it being one of the few aircraft in this br without flares, its just bad, with only the Magics being the redeeming factor (but tbh Id rather carry 4 9Ds then only 2 Magics). Any tips or is it just as bad as it seems?
