Advice for Home Theater LED system

I'm new to Addressable LED (and WLED) but not regular LED tech (20 zigbee / deconz controlled RGBW stripts automated by Homeseer)
Done a lot of reading/research but not coming to a conclusion on what's best for my setup so need some veteran/expert help ... pretty please ;-)

I will mainly do simple color changes (not a lot of fancy light shows) but I'm thinking maybe I'll want to later?

Some questions...

  1. Requires a Wall mounted controller so guests/kids can easily turn light on/off and change colors.

Question 1... Is DMX wall controller what I should use? Any make/model that work best?

  1. Looking at commercial high-output RGBW COB 24v strips from Prolux. They say "Control via DMX for color and dimming (requires SPI decoder)"

Question 2 ... are those SPI strips appropriate / easy enough to integrate into or should I be considering other specific make/model strips?
