Careless Evaluators?
I'm getting very frustrated with the evaluator for my current course because they keep asking for things that have already been explicitly spelled out in my assessments. It's getting to the point where I don't even know how to make a revision without sounding exceptionally condescending. It's like they are just reading the first few words in each section and then skipping on to the next without reading the anything else.
This is extremely frustrating and demoralizing because I feel like they aren't respecting our time or effort. With the exception of one other class where I suspect I had the same evaluator, nearly all of my assessments have been accepted on the first try, and those that weren't were usually due to a dumb mistake like me missing a line of text or a keyword due to my vision tracking problem. Now we are back to feedback asking me to do things that, aren't merely vaguely hinted at, but bluntly stated as topic sentences or included in lists.
The last time this happened, receiving revision request after revision request for items that had already been addressed, became so stressful and left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn't even want to think about WGU for 2 months. I couldn't respect the people that were evaluating my work due to their carelessness. I could have accelerated in a big way, but again my classes had become a source of negativity in my life rather than an inspiration and excitement to move into my new career.
Now... I guess I'm just venting since so far as I know I have to just suck it up, though I did make a complaint to my mentor, and asked the instructor how I am supposed to make a revision to an assessment that already provides what they ask for. I'm just frustrated. I need to get this done quickly since it's standing in the way of starting my student teaching, and at this rate I could be fighting with this person for 3-4 weeks.
