Software update for a dedicated “Handheld Camera” mode?

One of my favorite things about AVP is spatial photos / videos. Why did Apple not have the foresight to include mounts for a camera strap, and some kind of dedicated handheld camera mode?

I just used it walking around my favorite museum, holding it in my hand like an SLR camera, with the solo knit taken off and the battery cord strung to my pocket. But as expected each time I pulled it up to my face, reentering the password and the onslaught of notifications was super annoying and forced me to stop for several seconds before I could just take the damn photo or video.

I want an app or a software update that allows it to suspend itself with all the same settings and come out of sleep with camera open, fully ready to snap and photo or video, with no notifications/warnings. It would understand that I am carrying it around in my hand and do not need it to be perfectly set up for AR/VR, just taking photos. Seems simple enough.

Also if there was just loops for a camera strap that would have been so much easier than gingerly holding it in my hands the whole time. I think the next version should look less like goggles and more like just a cool shiny black device you hold up to your face, like if Apple made a camera that looks like a curved iphone.
