Curious About Vision Pro
Hey Reddit!
I’m from India, and like many of you, I’ve been eagerly following the buzz around the Apple Vision Pro. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to experience it firsthand, but it seems to be making waves globally.
When Apple announced it with the tagline "At $3,500, it's not a mass-market product," Tim Cook made it clear it’s for early adopters. But as someone excited about cutting-edge technology, I have a few questions and thoughts:
- What Vision Pro Still Lacks:
- Are there any major limitations you’ve noticed?
- Does the Vision Pro meet the expectations for everyday usability or fall short in specific scenarios?
- Could Apple have done more to make it lighter, more affordable, or more intuitive for first-time users?
- Hand Gestures:
- How accurate are the hand gestures in real-world use?
- Do they struggle in low-light or darker environments?
- How often do the gestures fail, and does that disrupt the experience significantly?
- Controlled Release:
- Do you think Apple should have released it in a more controlled way, like limiting it to developers or tech enthusiasts before rolling it out widely?
- Apple’s Edge in This Category:
- What makes you think Apple has what it takes to make this category successful compared to competitors?
- How do you think Apple’s intelligence (e.g., their integration of hardware, software, and AI) will set Vision Pro apart?
As someone who’s currently in my final year of college, I’m super excited to eventually try it out myself. But until then, I’d love to hear your insights and personal experiences.
Do you think products like Vision Pro are worth the hype, or are they just another niche gadget? Can they transform industries like education, gaming, or content creation?
