Weird Throwback Vibes

Ugh. It was so ICKY when Mel asks Jack "if he would mind" if she keeps Monore as her middle name! It's not even her name it's her other married name! Why is it assumed that she is changing her name and why does Doc make such a big deal out of saying here's Mr and Mrs Sheridan. Also, she must have said 10 time pre wedding that she can't wait to become a Sheridan. Just ew! It's everyone's choice about their name but this show is so clearly pushing that Mel has found her salvation. Also someone astutely said that all the women are conniving, irrational, saints, harlots or bossy while the men are stalwart dudes with gruff honor or criminals. Luckily i watch this tripe while I am on the treadmill so I have less guilt about losing hours of my life to it. FINALLY WHOMEVER said Muriel is the only saving grace was right!!!!!
