My Vinesauce 10th Anniversary

Today, November 14th, 2024, is the tenth anniversary of when I first followed Vinny on Twitch.

Not to sound like a Parasocial Andy (and break rule #10), but the stream has literally been one of the few consistent things in my life over the past decade.

Admittedly, after Vin took his break in 2021, I got out of the habit of watching him nightly. And then, when he did start again, the time had changed, so I kept missing 'em during the week. I usually still made it to Sunday streams, though.

However, I got a job again in late 2022, and currently my only shifts are closing on the weekends. Which means, with the earlier stream times, I'm almost always working during Sunday trash.

But I still watch the VODs whenever they catch my attention. I've been keeping up with the Choicer Voicer, and was VERY excited about not one, but two World of Horror runs this year (even if I don't always understand the newer memes).

And of course, I still use old Vinny videos as background noise/sleep aid on occasion.

I'm rambling (and I'm sure this is probably ~\le cring*~*), but what I'm basically saying is:

Thank you, Vinny.

Thank you for streaming and thank you for being such a cool dude. I was really nervous to meet you at TMG 2018, but you were super nice, and I'm still so flattered you offered both a hug AND to do a voice for me after I gave you an autograph I acquired from Toad's Supershow VA. (I chose shitty Homer).

Things have changed, but the stream is still around, and while I know it won't be forever, I'm glad I can tune in and hear you making funny duck noises, just like you did ten years ago.
