I'm scared of what people are capable of

I accidentally got to a gore site today, I don't remember how bit I found a video where someone was being abused and men in the comments were talking about how hot it was and how they masturbate to it. I don't know if it was like sexual content or like actual abuse but it reminded me of how my mother used to abuse me.

It reminded of how she used to whip me and beat me and throw glasses and plates at me. What if mom shared those videos? Would men also do something this disgusting? Would anyone care? Would anyone bother calling the police? Just why are people like this?
