Vel'Koz is a great pocket pick against two obnoxious laners: Caitlyn and Morgana

Vel'Koz is the best at shutting down Caitlyn in her tracks before her game plan can take off, which is poking and bullying your ADC and you until you miss CS, lose plates, and XP. Vel'Koz does what she does, but better.

As for Morgana, she can't keep up with how cheap your Q is. I've watched them try. spamming their W/Q on your ADC to try to match your poke but they just don't have a chance.

I just find that generally there are not great picks into either Cait or Morg but Vel'Koz really is my go-to against both.
