2 Hrs post - Here's My Experience

So, first off, I was pretty nervous going into this. Had some trauma from a previous surgery that made me worry. Was scheduled a week out, so had a whole week of making myself nervous, for nothing.

I consider myself pretty high anxiety and nervous when it comes to medical procedures, so when I say the procedure itself was nothing, that should really mean something.

In total, it was probably about 25 mins from the point the doc came into the room to when he left. Nitrous made that time fly by. Didn't really feel anything. The needle prick felt like pulling a pube, as someone else here said, and then a little discomfort as the medicine is injected, and then nothing. Didn't feel anything on the right side. When he started on the left, I felt more, didn't hurt, doc gave more numbing and was fine.

When I say "no pain" I mean, you can tell something is happening, but it doesn't hurt, and with the gas, you really don't care. Only reason I knew was because I had my toes flexing and was kinda gripping my leg.

Procedure was a breeze. Afterwards, the car ride home kinda sucked, and I would recommend having a driver if possible. I know they say you don't need one, but it must've been how I was sitting. I had that dull aching pain after you get hit in the nuts. 20 min car ride some wasn't enjoyable, but once I got out, hit the couch and repositioned, the dull ache went from a 5 to a 2. Ice helps a ton.

So far so good. Was it fun? The gas was enjoyable and I made the doc laugh about something that I can't remember now.... But overall, it's fine. Worst part was the car ride, and that's likely because of how I was sitting. At home, legs propped up, watching Netflix, doesn't really hurt at all.

TL;DR - I'm a giant baby with huge anxiety and this was not a big deal.

Hope this helps someone.
