FPS drop, what's the cause?

Hi, so I recently upgraded my GPU and PSU (came from a 1060 3GB and 520W PSU which has been with me since 2019) so I'm confused why my FPS is suddenly unstable (frame drops) when I didn't change my CPU? Apologies if this question sounds dumb, just really need some help hopefully no one will judge me.

Here are my specs:

Motherboard: B450M-A PRO MAX CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB RAM: 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 3200 Patriot Viper Steel, CL16 1.35v HDD: 1TB WDC Blue HDD, 64mb 7200rpm SSD: 500 GB Kingston NV2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD PSU: Seasonic Focus GX 80+ Gold 750W (SSR-750FX3) Monitor: LG 24GN60R-B 24" Ultragear FHD IPS 144Hz

  • I usually run OBS (Replay buffer) and Opera (just around 3-5 tabs at most) while playing PRIOR the upgrade and I had a good 200+ fps without any noticeable frame drops.
  • When I upgraded, I still get 200+ fps, BUT I get some noticeable frame drops when there's a lot of utility in the screen, which doesn't usually happen back then :/ what's causing it?

What I've tried so far: - reinstall drivers, i installed 24.5.1 as i saw that it's more stable - cap FPS at 200. Yes it is stable but the frame drops were more noticeable here - close all my other apps and only have Valorant open (nothing happened, fps drop still there) - Set everything in AMD Adrenaline as default (didn't go for any of the settings so far)

What I'll try later: - do a fresh reinstall for the game - anything else..?

Can someone please assist me if ever? I know I'm not the most techy but I do know the game is CPU-intensive, not GPU-intensive. I'm really feeling lost now and I've been having these frame drops since I upgraded last weekend.
