Help!! Cannot believe being hospitalized for the second time during 5 months of diagnosis.

As mentioned in the title. I am now hospitalized for the second time due to severe flair up that won't calm at all (moderate to severe pancolitis). Going 11 times per day with watery bloody diarrhea. Whenever I eat a single thing or even drink water I get severe cramps and rush to the toilet. Prednisone 40mg is not even touching my symptoms and now I am getting IV steriods and I hope they help. Got my first one and still almost no improvement, will get the second one in few hours.

They did all different types of stool tests and now waiting for the results, which will probably take like 2 days, to rule out any infections before starting rescue treatment with infliximab.

I sometimes just can't believe how this world would flip upside down in matter of days. Im only 20 years old, never had a single health issue, was in my absolutely prime/peek of my entire life during the summer, secured a place in my dream program at my dream university. And BAM!! Severe ulcerative fucking pancolitis in August that won't fucking calm down at all.

Anyone had a similar experience? There is no way IV steroids are almost not helping what the fuck? Anyone who had a rescue treatment with infliximab who sustained a long-term remission? This life is not on hard mode but rather on extreme mode. I can't describe my feelings when my parents came in and visited me feeling completely helpless and cannot help me in anyway.
