Trailing wife feeling dejected

I'm a trailing wife, my husband is on a 2 year surgical fellowship in Glasgow and as newlyweds we thought it best I come with him thinking there would be opportunities for me here even if only temporary ones. My dependant visa gives me right to work so I'm.not looking for sponsorship. I am a CIMA qualified accountant with experience (non UK) A first degree and an MBA nearing completion but I can't even get an interview. Not that I've even had lofty ambitions and applying for jobs similar to what I had back home only, it's been the full accounting spectrum from bookkeeper. I've used 2 paid for CV review services. I've had a great time volunteering with BHF but I'd love to get a proper job. Any tips? Also thank you for letting me rant.
