In-Person Handwritten Hum 4 Final ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I am not sure if this was how Hum finals were done in the past pre-Covid but I have never had to take a handwritten Hum essay final my entire time here at UCSD. My handwriting is not the best so I know it is going to take me much longer to write everything neatly which has me stressed to the max. I don't understand why we can't just type it out electronically as typing it has so many upsides and has been the standard for all the past hums I have taken. It is pretty difficult to cheat, at least on the essay portion, on hum finals so making it handwritten brings little benefit besides ensuring that you don't have access to the internet.
I understand if this is how things were done in the past but we now know that electronic hum finals work well and have become the standard for every student at Revelle who enrolled during the beginning of Covid. It is just a little frustrating that some of my suitemates, who are taking another professor for Hum 4, have a completely remote final and already have some of their essay prompts released to them while our professor hasn't even told us what the final is going to incorporate (short-answer, number of essays) let alone our prompts yet. Do any past Hum students that have taken a handwritten Hum final have advice or tips?
TL;DR: I thought that writing an AP/IB-type handwritten exam was going to be in my past for good 🥲
