Tom Cotton sunk any presidential bid he will have because of the Tik Tok ban.
I've seen quite a few, 'TikTok ban is justified,' or 'Boohoo, Tiktok was bad anyways,' posts here. So I'm going to assume it's unpopular to defend TikTok.
There were 170 million tik tok users and Tom Cotton was the figurehead on the ship to shut it down. Beyond him not having a basic understanding of the app or the ownership of it, or the intentional deception due to Meta stock ownership - He was unwavering and gave a business no option besides selling it completely.
Now, Trump wants joint ownership, which is a much better option for a business to retain revenue.
Young voters were effected.
I'd argue he wouldn't have received many blue votes before, but definitely not now, Tiktok is not as heavily hated in blue households as it is in red.
Trump voters are on Tiktok too, so now Tom Cotton will lose favorability of the Trump vote.
So, he retains the old white person vote thats rapidly dying out, whats he get in a presidential run besides the bible belt minus GA?
As a moderate, conservative leaning voter, you could pretty much put anyone on the ballot and I'd vote for them over Tom Cotton. Screw that guy.
