The US withdrawal from Afghanistan was Both not just democrats issue. Everyone should take blame republican also.

The U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan wasn’t the decision of one party—it was the result of a bipartisan effort spanning multiple administrations. Both Republicans and Democrats made key decisions that shaped the outcome, and it’s important to acknowledge this shared responsibility. Especially since folks want to talk about accountability.

President Trump negotiated the Doha Agreement in 2020, setting a withdrawal timeline and releasing Taliban prisoners while reducing U.S. troop levels. These actions emboldened the Taliban and left the incoming administration with limited options. President Biden chose to honor that agreement, expedited the withdrawal process, and oversaw the final chaotic exit, including the heartbreaking loss of lives and the abandonment of allies.

Both leaders bear responsibility for their decisions, and politicizing this issue risks dividing America deeper—especially within our military community. Unity and accountability are essential to honor the sacrifices made, support our veterans, and ensure future decisions prioritize strategy over partisanship and political games that could be the very safety of our lives on the line.

Let’s hold leaders accountable—not as partisans, but as Americans that's what's missing in the military and it's sure why so many folks don't participate in the election process. As an independent I am starting to say just throw the system in the trash.

I will end with this. If you come into the military focusing on going after qualifying folks you will lose a lot of folks who actually just want to serve. And most importantly you will encourage folks not to sign up. I know I am more skeptical about it even when Biden got elected.
