Medical Insurance in the United States is a scam

I'm so angry right now that I'm shaking.

Medical Insurance in the States is a scam. I was just denied a prescription that I NEED because I'm not sick enough YET. If I get sicker and do more damage to my body and health, then insurance will approve it. Multiple doctors say I need this medication and my doctors are fighting currently the insurance company. All I can do is cross my fingers and hope it works out. And I even have what's considered good insurance.

I've had lots of fights with Insurance over my life - at one point with a significant illness which caused me to live in a quiet, dark room for a year because I couldn't function with any additional stimuli, I went to a specialty clinic and was hospitalized for 10 days. At first, Insurance tried to deny the treatment, saying I wasn't sick enough....... again, I had good insurance, and with doctors advocating, insurance did eventually cover the cost. The treatment literally allowed me to get better, go into remission, finish school, have a career, etc.

I'm so tired of fighting corporate greed. I just want to be able to live.

Edit: I wrote this in full rage mode with a desperate need to expell the anger and never thought people would give this a glance. I'm a lurker on reddit who really only ever comments on hockey or to give an upvote. It took me forever to figure out how to edit this post.
