[Help] Do trophies carry over discs?

Another difficult question that really bothers me: Let’s say I borrow GOW 3 from a friend of mine, i complete the game, get half of the trophies and return it back to him.

Will those trophies carry over if I buy GOW 3 and use a different disc on the same console that I played?
