In Ben's defense...

I have seen people blaming Ben for getting Kenny's family killed when it wasn't his fault in the slightest, I could get Carly and Doug, I could even get Chuck, but not Kat or Duck

First of all, the bandits were attacking the group anyway, but Lilly was hellbent on staying, even before any deals started the bandits were attacking because the ST Johns died so they went to the motel group

Now Ben SHOULD have told the group about what he was doing but back to the point, by making the deal Ben saved the group, because the bandits would have overran the motel much earlier and the group would have been killed due to the RV not working, or what Kenny said would happen "Come and rape our women and children", the bandits would have forced Lee, Kenny and Doug (if he was saved instead of Carly) to do the save lots bidding or they'd hurt the women and children

Duck getting bitten isn't Ben's fault, Katjaa shooting herself isn't Ben's fault, she made that decision herself and Ben had every right to snap at Kenny, because even then Kenny just wants to blame someone for his pain so he blames Ben, even though again, it wasn't Ben's fault
