Energybending battle is complete stalemate.

What would happen if Aang were to lose the Energybending battle is a decade old question. Perhaps Aang would lose his bending or maybe even Ozai would become the Avatar or something, it's debatable.

But what if it's a complete stalemate? They seem not to be able to move until it concludes, so would they stay like that forever?
