I'm All In...
Context: I stopped listening because of Sachs. Wrote a post saying "I'm out", it got busy. Listened to this most recent episode as I was intrigued by the title, the fact the Sachs isn't there anymore and another post on here about them blaming DEI.
Great Ep tbh. Remembered why I enjoyed listening to it so much before it turned into Trump porn. Heard some stuff that made me think "shut up that's bullshit" and other stuff that had me change my perspective and say "Fair play, he/she's right, dont like it but probably right"
1 - They did blame DEI. They spent 1 line each saying "DEI" is not to blame then spent 20 minutes stylishly saying it was. It was a Masterclass in the Lee Atwater strategy. Saying shit without "saying it". Sachs would have said it with his chest though lol
2 - Surprised at Chamaths take on Zuck. I think dont many people do but I kinda respect JCal sometimes. He backs himself even when the others clown him and he doesn't always follow fashion like Scamath or back down/avoid tough topics like Friedberg. I respect his take on Zuckerberg for example.( The rant about the Mayor was performative though).
3 - Zuckerberg!! Great businessman. Great for my META stock but damn that guy is a bitch and a weasel. Can't trust him with anything but a stock price. Dude tried to clown Apples lack of innovation despite his record of never having built anything from inception up. Stole Facebook, copied Snap, bought Instagram and WhatsApp. Which fair, it's genius. But don't act like you're the master of innovation. He didn't even want to go mobile with Facebook. His people forced it. He's just pissed he has to pay Apple 30% even after they smacked him for 10/20bn after the IDFA privacy move. He literally said in an interview with the guys from Acquired podcast that he'll find good/threatening companies, buy them then just leave them to run as is and continue to grow. I dont like Trump at all but I respect the execution. Got the tech CEO's on smash.
