What things are districts forcing teachers to do that are bad like Lucy Calkins’ method?

My admin keeps preaching about data driven, research backed strategies and I finally had it and just pointed out we did Lucy Calkins in our district because we were told that was research backed. Now we in HS are being asked to reteach because kids can’t do the readings at grade level.

Admin didn’t like that. They also didn’t like that I pointed out lax attendance (lack of) policy.

I feel like Lucy Calkins really put them in a tough spot to respond. What are other similar things we are forced to do, at any grade level, and do you have resources I can look over for why it’s bad? I can only say that following a guy like marzano who cites himself isn’t a wise idea so many times.
