Student cursed at me .admin question.

I'm a 4 year teacher so still very much learning. I had a student call me a f**** ass b****. He did this as I had sent him to the office for getting into a verbal altercation with another student. The other student went as well. Now he did not say this to my face. He said it to the teacher who was escorting him out. The next day the student was allowed in my class and I thought that was peculiar because of what he said about me.

Let me say this-- I actually got a chuckle out of being called this name and I really do not care what a 7th grader has to say about me. I have pretty thick skin. My feelings are not hurt. However, I don't feel a 7th grader should be saying this about a teacher and just being allowed back in the classroom without some kind of conversation. I did ask about this and our Dean said well he's just not ready to have that conversation.. he is upset right now and angry....so we'll keep trying and hopefully it will happen. I'm not sure I like this response either. What does your school usually do about things like this?. I don't know if it matters but it's a title one school and I teach 7th grade.
